Highlights of the weekend include:
Saturday, Oct. 1, 12 – 4 p.m. – Autumn at the Lake Ontario Beach
Spend a Saturday at the beach. Come enjoy the beauty of the Lake and the Port in the fall. Enjoy the sounds of HeatWave Bluegrass, take a horse drawn hayride around Ontario Beach Park, ride the carousel or enjoy fresh made donuts, cider and other treats from Duke’s Donuts. You can join a guided bike tour of the port and beach at 2 pm or take the Tour Blend Charlotte and the Port of Rochester mobile tour through the park and neighborhood anytime.
Sunday, Oct. 2, 1-5 p.m.: Re-Imagine the Aqueduct on the Broad Street Bridge.
On Sunday, bring the whole family to the Broad Street Bridge for a fun filled celebration of the revitalization of Rochester’s Genesee River Corridor. Activities include skating in the street, a participatory chalk art installation, interactive displays, and games. There will also be public input sessions for the Re-Imagine the Aqueduct Project, food trucks and carts, wine and craft beer tasting, and musical entertainment. Tour Blend will lead a guided walk along the historic Erie Canal Corridor at 2 pm, or take the new Tour Blend “Walk on the Erie Canal” mobile tour anytime starting on Oct 1.
